I think it depends on what your body needs - everyone's different. It's something like 65-75% carbohydrate, 20-30% fats and 15-25% protein... ish.. the 5 portions fruit/veg a day rule is pretty good to stick by, a portion being one piece of average sized fruit or a serving of veg on your dinner plate. Remember that foods claiming to be low fat are often excessively high in sugar!
