i love a boy.we are of same caste......unable to tell the parents about our love...the person is my brother's frnd....all my family members know him.....i love him.he too.......how will i convince my parents?..my parents are making me ready for marraige wit someone else exept him......they dnt have any idea about our love...but my love say.he want to make his position in life and then tell family..its too late......wht will i do?

Priya my advised to you, be confident and be unafraid, the boy you are in love with and yourself should go to your parents, sit them down and discuss how you both feel about each other. All you can do is pray.

Wow. That is a tough situation. Be warned that you are going to get a LOT of Euro-American answers here that will be of little use to you. You are from a very different culture than a lot of people here, and that raises different questions and answers. Are you Hindu or Muslim? You may want to consider discussing this with you imam or other religious leader who can help you make an educated decision based on your culture and personal situation. How do your boyfriend's parents feel about you? Perhaps you can even get some help from them. Finding someone in an authoritative position who can stand up for you might help you out.
Other than that, all you can do is bite the bullet and sit down with your parents and tell them straight. Prepare yourself ahead of time and aniticipate all their arguments. Bring your boyfriend with you for support, and so he can defend himself as well. Then if you explain everything to them, gently and respectfully, maybe they will listen to you. If they are good parents, they will want what is best for you. If not, then you do not want them making decisions for you anyway. Depending on how old you are, you may have to run off and live your own life. People do it all the time, but it is a difficult decision to make. I wish you luck!
