Welcome to the struggles of having natural hair. It would be so much "easier" if you decided to chemically straighten your hair but I'm glad you have decided not to. All you need is exposure to great products and creative styles and you can have so much fun with your hair. First of all, cutting your hair is the last thing you should do right now. The only thing you need to do is make sure your ends are clipped/trimmed every six weeks and do a deep conditioner (conditioner on your hair while sitting under a hooded dryer for about 15 minutes) just as often. As far as the color, talk to your parents and see if it's ok with them to play with your color a little bit. Since you're 15, I would suggest trying some suttle hi-lights (this might be easier to talk your parents into since it won't be a drastic change). Whenever you get a chance, try these sites: http://www.afrohair.com/styles/natural
http://www.missjessies.com/
and my favorite: http://motowngirl.com
You will get haircare tips, how-to's and great photo galleries. These are styles that you can wear to school, church or out with friends. I applaud you!!! To be 15 and to realize that your hair doesn't have to be straight to be beautiful is outstanding. Good luck and may you have so much fun with your hair!!!

Have you tried having layers, a nice side fringe would be a different look or quite a few layers, have you thought about a hair colour change or streaks, these are all possibilities to make your hair look different. But if you don't want a snip or colour change there are lots of different styles such as a high ponytail (they're in fashion), or just put your sides up and leave the rest of your hair down so you have a tiny ponytail, braids etc.
Hope this helps

well...first...you should go to to the salon...get you hair thinned and layered...and...i have the same color hair...dark dark brown almost black..so...i think you should lighten it up and bit and get a few highlights...also...get some side bangs..they make your hair look really nice have that and im 13 by the way...as for some hair styles..

Since its really curly...when you get outa the shower...scrunch it with moose and a little bit a gel...i also recomend that you buy hair repair treatment ...its a DEEP conditioning and you leave in for 3 minutes everytime u take a shower or as needed...its from pantene and its called PRO Frizz or something...idk...but..anyways...when you get outs the shower and scrunch it...you could but half up...also...just striaghten ur bangs...cute!.....another is....LOW pigtails...they would be SO cute since u have curly hair..also you could do the bump on ur head....with a rubberband and a clip....so cute...emial me for more

cut you hair chin legnth, a little messy and have your stylist thin it out with a razor, but a flt iron and straightne your hair. Itll be so much easier with you hair cut like that.

You can also just leave it curly by using gel to minimize frizz. Let your hair air dry for a little while. Once its still a little damp apply the gel all over, scrunchy up your hair in the process. Itll look beautiful. I have the same problem, but see my avatar pick. Thats basically what my hair looks like now, I love it.

have you tried braiding it, or just wearing it curly and wearing a cute headband (they are back in style now). if your hair is longer, you could put it a low ponytail to one side of your shoulder and let the hair fall in front. Hope that helps!

I think you would appreciate the convenience of a nice Buzz Cut, and you'd look cute in one, too!
