because....well...I have no idea why some are such elitist bigots sometimes to be honest. I had the same thing happen to me.
I answered the question "Do you believe in God" with "No, I don't think so". 3 hours later my answer was removed for "profanity".
Yet read the following question. This Christian advocates the KILLING AND BEATING of atheists, and his question isn't even removed.

>>>Well, why do you christians think that your religion is the only one>>>
We don't think it's the only religion. But we do think it's the only true one. I think, anyway, that the religion that I follow (Roman Catholicism) contains the fullness of religious truth.
>>>and if i don`t follow your religion i don`t know what faith is?>>>
I think you know what faith is -- but TRUE faith is something that only Christians know about.
And there's nothing wrong with us believing that Christianity is THE faith -- otherwise, what would be the point of following it?
If we thought that all religions were on an equal religious-truth footing, then we could all be Christian and Muslim and Buddhist and pagan all at the same time. There'd be no difference. Think about that.
>>>Since when have you established the monopole as the only religion? >>>
We haven't established a "monopole" (correct spelling is "monopoly") on religion -- but Roman Catholicism is the only religion that's FULLY TRUE.
But this doesn't mean that other religions don't have some elements of religious truth.
Most religions have some truth to them -- at least to the extent that they mirror Catholicism.

You said:
" i asked a question about heaven...and look what i got:
"Jesus is my best friend and the one on whom I depend for everything--you can't understand the relationship because you have no faith." "
I think that your problem is that you have trouble with acceptance. It seems to be the reoccuring theme in your statements.
Do you claim to have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you? Christians do. They tell you that understanding God comes through His Spirit. And you do not seem to understand Him, though you are not alone, everyone's on their own level on that concern. So if you think about it maybe they are right, they know more about God becuase they spend time learning and hearing about Him, while others such as you continually question the viability of belief.
You see, you are still not past page one, while others are somewhere past page one. You are still here on Earth, and somethings change. So keep asking questions, but at what point are you going to 'know?'
"another one asked me why i think about what i don`t believe in."
It's the cat and mouse game that is going on here. Those that really think that they have it right want to talk about it. I can accept that. And since there are opposing point of view, the game continues. Those that are not believing are typically trying to dissuade the ones that do. I find that they do this because they either are guided by hatred or antipathy, or they are themselves attempting to try to find God. Pride makes them stand as if they are so knowledgable, but deepdown they have a longing to really know. I hope that they eventually know.
"Well, why do you christians think that your religion is the only one and if i don`t follow your religion i don`t know what faith is? Since when have you established the monopole as the only religion?"
Well, you reveal yourself more sophisticated than the first part of your post. I respect that.
If you read the Bible, it says that Jesus is the center of the 'religious universe.' You are either one of His by trusting Him, or you are not one of His by not trusting Him. That's why Christians are claiming that there is only one way to God. I am glad that you know what faith is. I find that many Christians do not either.
"p.s. i asked this ques 2 before and it got deleted because the word "christians" wasn`t spelt with major C."
That sucks. ) :
Thumbs up! Keep asking questions! ( :

We don't believe Christianity is the only religion, but we do believe Christianity is the only one that leads to God, and so a person who is not a Christian can be very religious, but they can never be spiritual (there is a difference). You cannot know God and not know Jesus, that is simply what He said. We believe everything that the Bible says, especially if Jesus Himself said it. He said He is the only way, so that's what we believe.
We do not want to be exclusive or to believe that people of other faiths go to Hell or do not really reach God, but that's just the way it is. Under God's law, everyone is condemned because everyone sinned. Jesus is the only one who came to pay the price of our sins, so He is the only way out of condemnation.

How did you phrase your question? Not all Christians think a like. Through grace are you saved through faith it is a gift of God not of works lest any man should boast. You can be saved in a second of time, simply by believing in Jesus Christ. It is faith alone, in Christ alone. He bore your sins in his body on the tree, He had you personally in mind, He died spiritually as a susbtitue for you. It's simple. If you study the Bible from the original languages,it is a marvelous way of life.
Peace out.

Through the study of Scripture and the Church Fathers, we see that, not only is the Catholic faith biblical, Catholicism is Bible Christianity par excellence.
Because the Old and New Testament Scriptures are the divinely-revealed, written Word of God, Catholics venerate the Scriptures as they venerate the Lord's body. But Catholics do not believe that God has given us His divine Revelation in Christ exclusively through Scripture. Catholics also believe that God's Revelation comes to us through the Apostolic Tradition and teaching authority of the Church.
What Church? Scripture reveals this Church to be the one Jesus Christ built upon the rock of Saint Peter (Matt. 16:18). By giving Peter the keys of authority (Matt. 16:19), Jesus appointed Peter as the chief steward over His earthly kingdom (cf. Isaiah. 22:19-22). Jesus also charged Peter to be the source of strength for the rest of the apostles (Luke 22:32) and the earthly shepherd of Jesus' flock (John 21:15-17). Jesus further gave Peter, and the apostles and elders in union with him, the power to bind and loose in heaven what they bound and loosed on earth. (Matt. 16:19; 18:18). This teaching authority did not die with Peter and the apostles, but was transferred to future bishops through the laying on of hands (e.g., Acts 1:20; 6:6; 13:3; 8:18; 9:17; 1 Tim. 4:14; 5:22; 2 Tim. 1:6).
By virtue of this divinely-appointed authority, the Catholic Church determined the canon of Scripture (what books belong in the Bible) at the end of the fourth century. We therefore believe in the Scriptures on the authority of the Catholic Church. After all, nothing in Scripture tells us what Scriptures are inspired, what books belong in the Bible, or that Scripture is the final authority on questions concerning the Christian faith. Instead, the Bible says that the Church, not the Scriptures, is the pinnacle and foundation of the truth (1 Tim. 3:15) and the final arbiter on questions of the Christian faith (Matt. 18:17). It is through the teaching authority and Apostolic Tradition (2 Thess. 2:15; 3:6; 1 Cor. 11:2) of this Church, who is guided by the Holy Spirit (John 14:16,26; 16:13), that we know of the divine inspiration of the Scriptures, and the manifold wisdom of God. (cf. Ephesians 3:10).

I don't let religion get in the way of my relationship. I am quite aware of other religions and it is not for me to judge who is going to heaven or hell-that is between you and God. Your attitude seems to reveal that you have no faith. I don't doubt God and then say that I am faithful. I'm so sorry if I was wrong--what is it that you do have faith in?
