I rememeber pouring out some sweet chilli sauce from a large litre bottle a couple of years ago. The sauce stopped running so I gave the bottle a couple of whacks to try and get it moving and a huge sticky cockroach plopped out. Disgusting!
Round about the same time my girlfriend was making a veggie stirfry with ingredients bought from the local market. A few seconds after the vegetables hit wok we noticed something moving. On closer inspection we saw that it was maggots crawling their way to the top away from the heat. Never did a McDonalds look so appealing.

A half inch piece of bone, with a piece of wire wrapped around it, in goulash in a school lunch...this was before the days when lawsuits were so prevalent, so my parents didn't do anything about it...go figure
I once bought a bacon cheese burger at a Hardees, drove home, bit into it, and found NO burger, so I ended up with a very expensive BLT, and the store refused to do anything about it, and were actually quite rude about the matter

I've had a few bad experiences with food... I bit into a sandwich once and found a pulled out a used band-aid, that was QUITE disgusting! Needless to say our entire tables bill was taken care of that night! Another time I was at a relatively well known gourmet pizza place and found pieces of glass in my salad!!!! Apparently they keep the salad plates in a drawer in one of the refrigerators and somebody had broken a dish and failed to clean it up and the person who made my salad didn't notice the broken glass on the plate! They comped my meal AND gave me free passes to come back... and one other time I was working at a restaurant as a bartender and ordered a salad, when I sat down in the breakroom to eat it, I noticed a lovely pink, acrylic nail mixed in with the lettuce. One of the other waitresses had broken one of her nails while she was wiping downt he salad station and couldn't find it!!! My boss was just happy it happened to me and not a customer!! He did make me another salad though :)

We were having a 21 st birthday party and i made lots of salads to go with the barbeque we had. Anyway my daughters ex-boyfriend told me he does not want any salad with tomatoes in it because tomatoes had worms in. I assured him that i have never ever seen a worm in a tomatoe and he then said ok then i'll have some. You guessed it, he found a worm . Just my bad luck:))
Then cutting a wholewheat bread here in Uk i bit into the slice and as i started chewing it something stuck in my tongue , it was a sliver of wood, don't know how it got there but i threw the bread away.
Once i bought a salad from MCdonalds and found a long black hair and i refuse to eat anything from them now.
In S-Africa we used to buy huge 10 kgs of sugar from the local Sugar-mill. My friend asked me to bake her a birthday cake and i did. She then came back to me and asked me if i was aware that there were hundreds of hair in the cake. I never even noticed, probably needed glasses. I checked the sugar and it was full up with hair, it looked like someone had cut hair and just threw it into the sugar. I was given two bags of sugar for free.:))))

I found a bolt in my hamburger. The restaurant said that it must have been in the frozen meat patty, so it wasn't their fault. They wouldn't even give me a free meal! They are lucky I didn't break a tooth or choke on it. Jerks.
Once I went to a Subway and got a meatball sub to go. When I got home, I found a pair of metal tongs wrapped up with my sandwich.

Not so much exotic, but my dad once found a used band-aid in his nachos. Another time my mom opened up a granola bar and bit into it only to bit into a big metal bar inside the bar. Weird, huh? She made the company pay for dental bills cause she broker her tooth, but she could have sued I'm sure.

I found a ladybird in a McDonald's McChicken Sandwich a few years ago. The manager offered me anything I wanted from the menu when I took it back but I was kind of put off by then!

OMG... a slug?? Yeckie....But I think I've got you beat!!
I went to Chinese restaurant and ordered a bowl of egg drop soup. As I was getting to the bottom of my bowl, I found this rather large piece of what I thought was egg. So I stired it to the top of my bowl and found that it was not egg. It was a not quite fully developed chic embryo!!!! I could see it's not quite fully developed eyes, head, wings, legs..........oh lord.........I'm gonna hurl just thinking about it! I called the waitress over to my table, showed her and she quickly wisked my bowl away and I left WITHOUT paying!!!! Havn't been able to eat egg drop soup since.....
