SSI, and they have not yet reported it. They been doing this since about July 2006. Should anything be done about this?. I have called the Fruad line from Welfare, but they don't seem to have done anything yet!....Should I keep at it?.

If the guy is receiving SSI, you should contact the Social Security Administration. You might also consider contacting the IRS (especially if all of this income is not being reported). Finally, you should give the Welfare dept one more try then ask if there's someone else they'd recommend.

I'm with you...this sounds like fraud, and I DESPISE people who manipulate the system! It takes money away from programs for people who REALLY need it! Also, hard-working people like YOU and ME that pay for people like THEM to skate through life!!!!

Sure it's fraud. That is obvious to the most casual observer but you are wasting your time.

I was on the jury in a murder trial. We (the jury) spent nearly 7 month including deliberation on this case. One of the prosecution's key witnesses admitted to welfare fraud on the stand and under oath. When the trial was over and I was free to read a newspaper again guess what I saw. This individual had just purchased a home. That's right, not a jail cell, a home. And he did so with money stolen from the tax payers.

Please feel free to try and I do applaud your efforts but if an admission in open court is not grounds to take action I doubt anything a tipster has to offer will be pursued.

Ain't Welfare great??????????

It sounds like they are committing fraud. But is it really your place to report them? Are you mad at them or dislike them for some reason? Sometimes it's better to take the high road and do nothing. I would only report someone for something if what they were doing was putting someone else in harms way. If they are committing fraud, they will get caught, it's only a matter of time.

Yes it is fraud and it is a criminal act and yes they are probably doing something about it they usually take about 6 weeks to 3 months to compile data on the subject

Live and let live. We don't know if they are actually not reporting it even if that is what they tell you. Maybe they did. Point is, can you handle the responsibility of reporting something that may not be true. I don't mean to be rude but we only have one judge and their actions will be dealt with on a higher level. I hope you recognize that what comes around goes around. I hope you don't do things that others may see as fradulent.

How do you know this? If this is true and you know about it how? It seems they don't mind being found out. Are you just reporting false claims to get them in trouble or cause them trouble. You could get into serious trouble for reporting fraudulent information. Everyone gets what they deserve in the end.

Someone is probably doing an investigation already or they will when taxes come due. They will get caught and pay the price in their own time.

Sound like fraud, if the government isn't interested in this matter, I'd let it drop.
