Oh, you sound like me.
Well, think of it this way. The people who are making fun of you now will be sacking groceries for the rest of their lives because they'll find out too late that nobody in the real world will care who they were in high school.
I know you've probably got a long way to go before you graduate and move on to better things, but even though it may seem like too much time to bear, it will happen sooner than you think. And when it does, you'll never have to put up with the petty teenage BS of high school ever again.
Things will get better! Just tough it out and ignore them. You're much more mature than they are and you will live the better life.

Unfortunately there are a lot of mean & shallow people in the world. At one point or another, most people will experience this poor treatment at some level or another, so trust me, you are NOT alone! These experiences can do one of two things: Make you stronger OR destroy you. Choose to have it make you STRONGER! I am sure you have heard this before, but as much as possible, ignore it and focus on the good things in your life. Go to school to learn as much as possible, prepare yourself for the future and don't let others take that from you. Excel in everything that you do and do your very best 100% of the time. It is not going to solve the immediate problem, others still may treat you ignorantly. Sometimes these experiences"polish" us, and can make us a better person in the long run. In this case, I bet you will be a very compassionate person who treats others in a wonderful way b/c you know what its like when people act awful. You may treat someone great and be the whole reason that they do well in their lives - you never know. One day you will be doing very well in your life, and you may come across one of these ignorant people - treat them kindly. You will be so much of a better person for it.

Are these people really worth being friends with anyway?
By the sounds of it they sound very immature and self involved. I wouldn't like to be friends with them! You seem much better than them. Are the friends you have got older than you? Because you seem quite mature.
Stick with the friends you have got, see them after school, invite them round or to the movies. Remember school isn't just for socialising it is for learning and improving your future prospects.
Please don't let these horrid people 'win' !! Stay at school, hold you head high and know that you are better than any of them put together! Go girl ! x x x

Everybody feels like that sometimes. Some people feel it more and others feel it less. All you need to do is build up your confidence and a positive attitude. People around will eventually see it. I know it sounds like crap but it works. There is no magical potion or something. It must all come from inside.

how about joining some groups or a club or play a sport? that way the people will get to know you for who you are and then they will like you. make yourself a fun person to be around and people will gravitate towards you. don't shun new friendships and keep people away. they only make fun of you because you let them and because they don't know you!
