I remember the beginning. When everything was pure, and honest. When the person you were with was shy, but sweet, and went out of their way to make you smile. I don't just remember the first date or kiss, but also the moments. The moments when I felt supremely happy with that other person. I remember how they were good to me, or how they were always there when I needed a friend. I especially like to re-read letters I've received, because those are extremely special to me. It shows that I just might be worth the time, and even though it's over, it was definitely worth going through. Girls like guys who appreciate them, and make them feel good about themselves. The guys who can continue to do that even after things get more serious, are the ones we remember.

It depends on the relationship that I am looking back on.
My first, I remeber him solely because we were each others first and that will always make him special to me. Other than that, our time together is really a blurr.
Mostly, it is a moment that was funny or memorable in some other way.
My husband, I will always remember him for putting a pair of white ducks (think Aflac commercial) in my car. The first one went in willingly, and the second one he chased around the car for almost five minutes before he managed to get it in.
They were beside the road on a very busy highway, and would of been ran over if we had not moved them.
Basically, it is different for each person.

I remember the times that I had fun and laughed alot, such as attending a renissance festival with a new guy I dated during the summer, going to the fair, a biker rally (family event type atmosphere), etc. I also remember the times that a guy surprised me (such as the time I arrived home and found two roses in a vase w/a card to apologize), assisted me with yard work (although I hadn't asked for the help), the sweet kisses, and how I felt during the time I spent with a particular guy. All of the above things meant alot and gave me memories to hold onto even though I have no interest in holding onto the particular guys.

In general it would have to be the thrill of the chase. If I were to be more specific it would just be those tender moments when each of us were so caught up in each other that nothing else mattered. Gosh, I miss those days! I have been in a relationship for several years now, so the newness has worn off, and the exciting times are few and far between. But I was swept off of my feet recently when my boyfriend made a speech at a banquet and told of his gratitude for me in his life in front of everyone. It was really out of character for him and that is why I felt so special again. Gave me chills!

My memories all seem to be full of "firsts". The first time we met, the first time we kissed, etc. There are also individusal flashes of particularly sweet, normal everyday things we sometimes take for granted when they are happening. There are a few men who I will always remember for the way they smell! Good question! You've got me taking a long (happy) walk down memory lane today.
~thanks~

Things I remember from past relationships are things that made me smile, happy or stuff I may be lacking in my current relationship. For example, my ex once surprised me at the train station, as I was returning from work just to tell me he loved me and was happy. We had a few mins together as he then went to his work which was a late shift. I'll never forget that, coz he meant it and it wasn't a special occasion or he didn't do something to upset me. He just was happy, that made me happy. I try to forget the bad stuff from previous relationship, as I find them too painful to think about.

I was in a relationship for 5 years and I remember how sweet he was ie I hardly ever cooked on his days off as he was a chef and l would come home from work and tea and wine would be waiting for me.
I also remember how he sold my round the world ticket back to Thomas cook and went on his own leaving me in the deepest crap. But hey that was almost 2 years ago and I guess you learn from your mistakes.

There are always special mometns in a relationship. Everyone remembers differently based on what is special and important to them. I am one of those who actually remembers almost everything. But the realy special moments are the unplanned ones that just burn themselves into your memory

When I am looking back on my previous relationships and the one I am in now, it strikes me, what I remember is the first nights of passionate all night lovemaking. The feeling of not wanting to go to sleep, of wanting more and more. I think it is a good question, because it made me remember.
