It's better and more effective to exercise less every day rather than more twice a week. Anything that gets your heart and lungs working is the best.(Make sure what you do is FUN for you! That's so important!!!) Running, aerobics, swimming; these lead the pack in fast fat loss. The fact that you say you are also watching what you east is great. All in all, if possible, an aerobics class or home video tape/dvd, will do the trick! Good luck!!!

The most effective workouts are cardio workouts which raise your heart rate to a target zone from 60 to 80% of your peak heart rate level for a MINIMUM of 30 minutes. The longer the exercise or the higher the intensity, the better and faster the results.
Twice a week at 30 minutes will not provide fast results not much results except maintaining current weight status. You will need to increase as I mentioned.

walking is great and cheap . . and you can fit it in any time take the stairs at work instead of the elevator . . parking farther from the store not only gets you some exercise but saves your car from the notorious door dingers, I enjoy a good 3 mile walk on my lunch break 2 twice a week and I still have time to eat after wards cause I walk around the building I work in outside when it's nice and inside when it's yukky outside. When I want that extra burn I walk up and down the stairs.

running is good for weight loss, but if you are new to exercise, you will need to build up to it. if you go to a gym, the rowing machine is one of the best to use as it is zero impact so will not damage knees or ankles.
if you work in the week, try getting up an hour early and go for a walk / jog in the morning on an empty stomach (scientifically proven that this is the best time of day to do CV training for fat loss). do this 3-4 times a week and build up to a run before work. you will have more energy throughout the day too.
good luck with it.

Kick Boxing will burn any excess weight off fast I only do it twice a week and have lost weight and toned up. I started with cardio kick boxing first to lose the weight then standard kick boxing to tone thereafter. You will not find a more enjoyable and quick result exercise, believe me I have tried them all.

Losing weight fast means doing lots of cardio, so power walking, running/jogging would be just as effective as taking a fitness class. Just remember to eat right, drink plenty of water, and don't overdo it!

If your knees are up to it, jogging and fahrt lekking. Jog for three lamp posts and sprint for one lamp post. Power walking is great and good for you. Anything aerobic. Try light weight work in the house. You would be better to jog/ power walk to the gym and back and don't bother joining it!

I have an eliptical machine in my bedroom. I love having one because its right there, I can watch tv will I'm exercising, and it works the whole body.
So, maybe you could invest in some kind of exercise machine...?
Good luck! :)

Walking to work (or some of the way to work) works for me. It's become part of my routine. I keep a change of shoes in the office and don't have to lug lots of kit around with me.
Maybe you need to try out different things to see what works for you. Good luck
