what will it take for our government to address this and other problems associated with illegal aliens. Does anyone feel a disconnect between what the government is doing and what the american people really want.

Laws are already in place to curb illegal immigration. The solution in not building a big ole fence around the nation, rather hitting where the problem lies. America wouldn't be a haven for illegals, if there wasn't opportunity. The problem is that companies are employing illegal persons. If maximum fines were implemented with possible jail time, seizure of company assets for employing illegal workers companies would be less willing to take the chance.

Trust me, I live in Phoenix, Arizona. The illegal immigration is so bad that my whole family is planning a move back to the midwest in May.
I think that everyone should come live in Arizona for just a couple days, because that's all it takes to see just how bad it's getting. Politicians don't understand how big of a problem this really is.
This is how screwed up our governments priorities are:
About 7-8 months ago and illegal mexican smuggled $8 MILLION worth of marajuana across the border. He was caught by two border guards, jumped out of his truck and began leading the border guards on a chase.
The border patrol agent said that it looked like the illegal was going to pull a gun, so he fired one quick shot, and got the guy in the butt (not killing him). A few months ago that border patrol agent was sentenced to over 20 years in prison for his actions.
Are you kidding me? That makes me so angry, you can't even imagine! How is this even possible? I really don't understand. Our country is going to hell and we need to do something about it fast. These people are ruining our way of life.
I'm not racist. I'm not against anyone coming to this country as long as they do it the legal way. It's about freaking time that Arizona passed the "English as the official language law". I'm so sick of everything. The government is making it seem like the illegals have more rights than the actual American citizens have.
Sorry so long. I'll quit ranting my anger now. It's hard to stop when I have so much more to add.

I find your statistic to be highly questionable. And how the heck did you find out that they were in fact illegal immigrants??-Do realize how many people die from hit and runs from Americans everyday? It's a much larger number than 25 my friend-And the Government is working on trying to control this problem -just less than a month ago they had huge roundups in Kansas and other Midwest states from the meatpacking industry and now meat prices will likely go up because of it.-

That happened in 2006, and Barahona was convicted of manslaughter yesterday. He will be sentenced November 16th. An Orange County jury found a 20-year-old man guilty of manslaughter -- rather than second-degree murder -- late Monday in the August 2006 death of Orange County Deputy Sheriff Michael Callin. Allan Barahona also was found guilty of resisting an officer with violence, leaving the scene of a crash with death, vehicular homicide and driving with a suspended license. The Orlando man's sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 16. He faces up to 60 years in prison.

Is it 25 or 15? Either way it is a lot, more US Citizens than killed in Iraq so far, for example. And lots more than have died on the desert coming here, something the illegals think should move us to loosen our laws.

The government doesn't care about what Americans want. They are too busy catering to big business and the illegal aliens.
