For the past couple of months, when I wake up in the mornings, I have terrible pain and some swelling in both my hands. It is so bad that sometimes I can't close my hands completely. The pain is from my knuckles to the middle joint on both hands. What is this?? and what can I do to make it stop??
Thanks for all your help.
Candi

It could be rheumatoid arthritis or carpal tunnel syndrome. A simple blood test can rule out arthritis, as for carpal tunnel, do you find that your hands go numb(fall asleep) a lot at night? During the day, do they go numb when you grip onto things like a car steering wheel or a shopping cart? Or have you noticed that your grip is not as strong as it used to be? If so, you might have carpal tunnel syndrome. There is a test for this as well but it involves putting small needles into your arms(really uncomfortable) to test the electric currents of the nerves in each arm. Either way, it would be a good thing to have checked out by your physician. Good Luck!

arthritis, carpal tunnel, or something more serious. Talk to your doctor. Had that for a while, and then I started having other random things happening, well finally went to the doctor and I have SLE (lupus)-autoimmune disorder where your immune system starts thinking your healthy cells are foreign.

Your hearts beating lots swifter than it would possibly be, and the swollen palms and ft do not bode nicely. i desire to advise you pass see a doctor in the present day. I did somewhat examine and it sort of sounds like Kawasaki illness. you have all the indicators different than for itchy palms. it could bring about a heart attack, an aneurysm and different deadly issues.
