WOW! The girl just asked for a drink suggestion and all you people do is harp on her......it is a free country and it is legal!
I personally agree that you and EVERYONE should have a designated driver, or take a cab, but I don't tell that to anyone who wants a drink.
Anyways, you drink whatever you want.
Depends what kind of taste you like or are looking for....
Fruity - Sex on the beach, Fuzzy Navel
Fizzy - Rum and Coke, Flavored Vodka and Sprite
Beer - Any beer you prefer
Wine - Any wine you prefer
I am a bartender and I have seen and heard a lot, people have asked for everything and anything, and you won't look like a fool!
If someone makes you feel like a fool (like the bartender), screw them and go somewhere else.....
Enjoy your birthday! Have fun and be safe!

Go to a wine-tasting party. Better still, have one yourself at home. Get a really cheap red wine, a moderately priced California Cabernet Sauvignon, and as good a French red as you can afford. Do the same for white wines. There the California wine would not be Cabernet, but since I don't know white wines well, ask the guy who sells it to you. If you are really well heeled, add a reasonably good Australian wine to each. Now cover the labels and number them, and have everyone taste and rate them.
It is my guess you will find the California wines the best, but of course it is really a matter of taste. Anyway, you get to know some good wine, start educating your palate, and don't drink enough to get blotto. Who knows, this could open a whole world of gourmet cooking and eating for you, since wine aficionados seldom become alcoholics. They drink moderately so they can continue to enjoy the wine.
If none of this sounds good to you, perhaps you are destined to be a beer drinker. You can do a beer tasting, too, of course. Get ales and stouts as well as just plain "beer" beer.
But don't try this with hard liquor or mixed drinks. The alcoholic content is too high, and you can't get a proper comparison going before your taste buds are too dulled. You are way too young to start developing jaded tastes.

It depends on your taste. If you like something sweet and creamy, try a buttery nipple shot. If you are big on wine, try anything. Red is stronger than white, fyi. If you want something generic, try jack and coke or rum and coke. If you can find a place that will make it well, pink lemonades are good (not sure what is in it, but it tastes like pink lemonade but is made of hard liquors) Oh, sex on the beach is really good. Why don't you get a mixology guide. It will give you a big lists of drinks and how to make them so you know what you are getting into. That is how I do it...

I am a bartender so this is my advice,go have a seat at restaurant bar not a at club mind you,you are looking for a place where you can have a conversation with the bartender, that way he or she would be able to make a drink that suits your taste, then you could probably work from there.Remember to walk with your designated driver on this outing.

How did you survive 21 years without a drink?
Try Smirnoff with juice or coke, and don't have to much the first time.

Stay away from too much beer if you drink too much you wont want to touch it ever again. Stick with mixed drinks, sweet ones. I suggest cranberry and vodkas with long island ice teas. Also try Absinth if they have any around.

First, celebrate the day with champagne! After your bartender knows it is a special day, I'm sure they will come up with some yummy drinks for you to try.
Happy Birthday!

Go high class. Get yourself a magnum of Veuve and toast to your coming of age with some good friends.
