In my experience its not so much a coffee thing but a 'cream' thing in that people who don't eat the coffee cream will also not touch the strawberry and orange creams.
This is lucky for me as they are my favourites so I don't have to fight for them!
A tribute to coffee cream's unpopularity though...its not in the Roses or Quality Street anymore.

I like coffee but Love coffee cream chocolates.. Especially Thornton's !.

I am the opposite I love coffee creams but hate to drink coffee....so strange hehe

I love coffee creams and your question has opened old wounds. My anger at cadburys and nestle for removing the coffee cream from roses and quality street was just beginning to subside and now I want to hurt somebody again. See what you've done!

because a true coffee lover loves the rich aroma and taste of coffee but that stuff they put in the chocs is just a flavoured fondant which makes you go to the toilet

Probably because the coffee chocs don't really taste like coffee. I don't know anyone who would have their coffee that sweet.

Because coffee is nice when it's done right. But coffee chocolates are cloying, sickly lumps.

for me it's the strange texture of the sweet and also it seems to be a really odd 'coffee' aroma which is not appealing
