This weekend, four of us will be going out to dinner: me, my little sister, and her two little sisters (my grandlittles). Am I obligated to treat them to dinner? I treated them all the last time we went out--I am just wondering if this is something I should do every time we eat out somewhere.

The dinner was a mutually-agreed-upon type thing… no one person really invited all the others…

I don't think you should always do it but it's nice every once and a while. If you bought them dinner last time ... that's great. If you want to treat them for going out ... buy them desert. Just say "desert's on me " :) Don't feel obligated by any means. You bought them dinner b/c you wanted to. So if you want to do it again ... go for it, but be careful that they don't expect it every time.

Once, as an introductory thing, it's fine to treat them... maybe once each year, as a sort of anniversary for their joining the sorority and you becoming their "big sister"... but you are by no means obligated or expected to treat them all the time, especially when it was a mutually-conceived outing.

Me and my sisters never paid for each other. You're all college students, and if you're like most you don't have alot of extra money. I think that it is perfectly fine and acceptable for you each to pay your own way.
