I have always felt this is Hell and if we dont get it right in our time here we are destined to repeat it....I feel very few of us actually make it to heaven

It really does feel like that sometimes. Strangely, I view hell as a place of punishment - it teaches us not to do something. Heaven doesn't seem like a real pair to that notion. I mean, in hell I'd expect somebody to wake up and say "I will never ever drink that much again" (and then go off and work his *** off to feed his family or something). In heaven I don't imagine a lot of people saying "I'm so blessed I think I'll go off and cure cancer today". I really think of them having thoughts like "well, I've got mine, next time maybe you others will be more pious".
That's what happens when I really think about hell. I also tend to agree that this IS it since it's the only place we know we CAN still learn and get better. If we put off the "being better" 'til later, it just isn't going to get done.

The very fact that Satan and his demons are all confined to the earth, angry about being booted out of heaven and allowed to influence us and reek havoc all around us sure does make it seem like the fictional place most people know as "hell". And yes, death could easily get to being almost welcomed if a person isn't fortifying his/her life daily with spiritual food from God's word, good association with others who put God first in their lives and encouragement that comes from having true friends who love you and others as you walk your Christian walk. Take heart, the REAL LIFE is soon to come. When you see that the governments close all the false religions you will know that God has had enough and has begun to act on your behalf. Do not be afraid. Raise your head up high and see. His will WILL be done on earth!!

Hell is nothing like this if you think this is hell you better make sure you are not going to the real hell. You would think of this as heaven if you where in hell. You are seeing evil at work here on earth and in hell you will see evil all around you.
Turn from your sins, ask for forgiveness for your sins from God Through Jesus Christ and ask Christ to live in you and hell can be avoided.
Hell is a choice you get to choose it or choose a God that made you in his love.

Hell is what some religious folks make this earthly paradise, of course they are not Solely to blame, but if they stopped thinking about a better world after they die, then they might actually do something to improve this one whilst they were still alive.
If you believe in god, then you must be offending him by treating his creation so cheaply, if you don't then you must be exasperated by the time money and effort wasted by superstitious fools who justify their destruction, even murder, in the name of their god.
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

You're close. I think hell and heaven are both states of mind rather than literal places. We should work toward heaven here on earth, not just for ourselves, but for others.

Some Norwegian literally live in Hell!

In winter it gets to -20C there. So Hell does freeze over then :-)
Maybe one day the world will become a nicer place.

One of the original Twilight Zone episodes was about a scientist who figured out a way to restore the soul to the body and resurrect the dead. When the dead man awakens, he starts crying out, "No, no, you can't do this to me. I've done my sentence." And the scientist concludes that this (Earth) is Hell.
