Okay, I've had a hickey on the side of my neck for almost two months now. I don't think that's normal. I've tried icing it, toothpasting it, and combing it out. Nothing works!!!!!1 What else can I try? Or do I just have to wait it out longer?

About that scar tissue thing...how would you know if it turned into scar tissue & is no longer a hickey?

P.S. What should I say to the guy? He's getting kinda doubtful that the hickey is his. IT IS HIS. I'm not that kinda girl. I find it kinda hard to believe that a guy would want to put a hickey in the SAME SPOT that another guy did. That's actually kinda gross.

OK. LISTEN UP. First grave the top to a lipstick ok ( you know the cap of the lipstick ) place it on the hickey and twist it, then realese, again you place the cap on the hickey and twist it then released. I know it sound stupid but it works...Its a life saver...lol...try it and you'll see. He probobly just sucked your blood vesels real hard and thats why its still there. Do what I tell you, just keep on doin it, you'll have to do it for a long time but you'll see the results after a good 10 minutes of doing it. It wot hurt but it will feel wierd when your doin it. If you want that hickey gone do as I tell you ok. You'll see, try it.

oh and tell that guy that he sucked it too hard and that you bruise very easily and your skin is super sensitive. Ask him"why would someone give me a hickey in the same exact spot you did ?"

Naughty, naughty... :) Well, hickeys are just bruises,so maybe try ice? I remember hearing in Jr. High that for hickeys on the neck, you can use a lipstick tube...you twist it and twist it directly on the hickey til it turns red all around, then when the redness fades,so does the hickey ( but I don't know if this really works or if it's an old wives tale).

Hickies are very bad for your skin- you essential "bruise" it, by forcing the blood to come to the surface and allowing no room for it to come out on its own, therefore it has pooled up under your skin, like a blood blister of sorts.

If you have tried all those remedies, and nothing has helped, and if it hurts, i say see the doctor. But the next time you get the great idea to have a hickey placed on your body, put it in a spot where others wont notice it. But if you are content with waiting, and it doesnt hurt, I say wait it out a bit.

When i was younger and liked that kind of stuff, it was always done below the neck.

I have never heard of combing it though. Cold rags and ice was what worked for me. To cover it though i used concealer and powder and never wore white shirts until it went away.

You actually made the process longer by "combing it" and "toothpasting it" you probably irritated it more thus the process of healing will take longer. A hickey is really just a bruise! So try this:

Old-fashioned way to heal a bruise - Mix plain white sugar with water until you get a paste, then massage it into the bruise. This works best soon after the bruise forms, but hastens recovery regardless. I understand this causes the capillaries to dilate and reabsorb the 'spilled' blood.

2 months. It might not even be a hickey anymore. You probably got scar tissue in the inside.

That does sound pretty unusual, however, I see you haven't tried using a lipstick cap, a penny, or a frozen spoon. Ultimately I think you should try to wait it out a bit, but 2 months is a long time, maybe you should see a doctor if all else fails.

LOL that's why I outgrew my hickey phase. Try seeing a doctor if you're worried. And next time think twice before letting a guy mark you in a visible area! I personally don't even allow marks in non-visible areas, because they make me feel trashy and cheap when I see them in the mirror.

Okay this is going to sound gross, but it has real medical backing. If you have access to leeches, they can be and have been used to absorb bruises. Since a hickey is basically a bruise, it should clear it up in no time.

I know. EWWWW!!! LEECHES!!! YUCK! And I wouldn't blame you for ignoring this. But it does work.

You need to see a Dr. about that one. That's way too long for a hickey to stay there.
