The center channel should be placed either above or below the
television. To determine whether it should be best placed below
or above the television, you should go by which position is the
closest to the level of your ears at your listening position. Ideally,
you will angle the center channel right at the listening level of
your ears for best results.

Extra note: Your front main two front speakers should be the
same distance from your listening position (in a equilateral
triangle), with the center channel in a parallel line equally be-
tween the two front speakers.

In a movie theatre the center speaker is behind the screen, but movie theatre screens have holes to let the sound through. The main thing is it should be centered. Remember that the center channel is where most of the dialogue comes from so you want it to be as close to centered as possible and unobstructed.

somewhere close to the TV, on top, beside, or under. The higher the better. Mine is in the top of the entertainment center above the TV, sounds great.

As close as possible to dead center. I have mine on top of the TV (60" rear projection)

Depends on the speaker... First make sure its video shielded...
Then if its design allows it, you can set it below the TV. Thats where I have mine, right under the screen...
Just make sure it has an unobstructed aim to the audience...

Good luck!!!!

as the centre speaker deals with dialogue only the ideal place is on the floor in front of the tv set.

As far to the left as possible, preferablly in the next room.

Then, you can go to McDonald's and ask how much their 99-cent cheeseburgers cost. When you get home, call your cable provider and ask what time their midnight movie starts.

It can go either top or bottom, but for best results, you should tilt it so it points directly towards ear level when you are seating down.
