My boyfriend is kind of working on not being abusive toward to me. He has a drug problem and can't drink becuz of the drug problem.

We moved from a city with the population of 5 million people to a stupid boring city of 1 million people.

Are there any ideas of things we can do for fun?

He's "kind of working on not being abusive"?!!? This part of your post is what leads to the paint-ball post above. Have you been to Al-Anon? You need a guy who doesn't have a drug problem and who doesn't need to kind of work on not being abusive toward you. But here are some things YOU can do for fun -- without him.
1. Make some friends at the Al-Anon meeting and go out to lunch with them.
2. Take a class at the community college on a topic that interests YOU.
3. Go for a walk in a public park with friends.
4. If you have any spiritual beliefs, go to your local church or synagogue, meet people, and go out to coffee or go shopping or to a movie or rent a video.

What do these things have in common? No boyfriend kind of working on not being abusive. And you'll make other friends. Especially women friends who can tell you to leave a relationship with no future.

You can tie him to a chair and shoot him with paint balls for a few hours. (Less mess if you do this outdoors)
