Why do people drive slow in the left passing lane?
It is against the law to pass on the right...right Yet you still ecounter that one straggler that is going 5 under in the passing lane. If your not passing then get over. It is illegal to not allow someone to pass or to speed up when you do pass at least thats the law here in Michigan. It is never enforced but since these people are so keen on following the law then why do they not follow the law and allow other to pass. Is it that there lives are so miserable they have to make everyone else feel miserable or are they just dumb and ingorant? I live in Michigan and if your not doing 10-15 over in the left lane then like 100 people want you to die..LOL though it seems. Majority rules and by not going with the flow you are creating a safety hazard. Also why do people think they can slam on thier breaks and if you reaend them they think you will get the ticket...Untrue, it called unsafe approach and in fact they will get the ticket and not too mention get sued. I am very considerate.

Wow I guess I was expecting the stragglers to come out and defend themselves and leave rude comments but thats not the case. I just can not believe how dumb these people are and they are normally middle aged women or older men who have been driving like this for years.

Again I am not a police officer so I dont feel I need to regulate other peoples speeds. If they want to do 100 Mph I get over and let the dude pass. My life is not that miserable where I need to control other peoples action and spread my misery on to others. Then theres just ignorance where people do not even realize what they are doing.

It is not illegal to pass on the right except when doing so puts you off the main travel portion of the highway. In other words, on a four-lane road, it is entirely legal to pass on the right but it's not wise.
In regard to people driving slow in the passing lane, in case you haven't noticed it, most drivers are completely inconsiderate. It is not limited to driving in the slow lane. Many do not use turn signals because they already know what they're going to do and don't care about others knowing to allow them to make adjustments. Many tail-gate in an attempt to get others to speed up, even above the speed limit; many will cut in front of others even when there is not ample room, which creates a very dangerous situation. Many enter an Interstate without even looking to see if they can merge, expecting the current traffic to merge with them. Many drive in the center lanes then cut across traffic to make their exit, cutting in front of several other vehicles but most of all, far too many drive as if they were the only motorists on the road.
My favorite peeve is the driver that pulls out in front of others making them brake to keep from running over them, then won't even go the speed limit.
By the way, I am past 60 but I darn sure stay to the right except to pass. I try very hard to stay out of the way but I don't just toodle around, I want to get where I'm going every bit as much as the teenagers do so I motor.

Some people feel the need to control everything including traffic. Those people that drive slow in the passing lane should either get plowed off the road or pulled over by the police for impeding traffic. Their actions are what causes most accidents. Which in turn causes traffic jams hence road rage. If the morons would get over to the right where they should be traffic would not be as bad.

They are just ignorant and stupid. In my midwest experience, Wisconsin is one of the worst, and Indiana is the best, especially on 65

I agree completely....PEOPLE- GET OUT OF THE WAY...ARRGGHH....I just think the majority of people are selfish which in turn makes them inconsiderate, they dont care that they're holding up traffic or frustrating others who are in a hurry. THEY'RE RUDE......I HATE RUDE PEOPLE.. U SUCK RUDE PEOPLE....
