They think that it is the norm. it is OK to be single. There are so many jerks out there and their mom's didn't raise them they way they should have, so you need to be selective.

Because they are idiots. Who says you need to bein a relationship to be happy. I have had some of the best times of my life not in a relationship. Just surrounded by great people. Ignore them,, them obviously have very little in their lives and I bet their relationship is all mucked up and weird and they like dressing up as gimps!! Why is there such a stigma with single people?? Crazy...

Because they've been conditioned to believe that people who act happy or are physically attractive MUST be seeing someone. That's absolutely untrue. I'm happy and attractive, and I'm still single, but I love it that way. Next time you get asked that, just smile and say, "I haven't found anyone worthy of me." It'll show that you value your happiness more than anyone else's.

They're secretly trying to find out what it "wrong" with the person whom they find attractive. I guess by asking you're hoping that the person will be honest and tell you only good things.
