Seeing a cartoon world in your dreams or seeing cartoon-like people suggests that your unconscious is sending up messages which are telling you something about the way you perceive the world. The cartoon people, or cartoon characters, suggest that you may perceive yourself and those around you as comical or as not having much validity or seriousness. Your perceptions may be somewhat off due to your inability to look at the way things really are. Your mind's eye distorts things so that you are more comfortable with what is going on around you. If your world is full of stress and this dream made you laugh, consider the compensatory nature of it. In your dream you may be able to obtain moments of lightheartedness and fun.

Honestly I had one dream like that in my entire life. It was a silent cartoon about a man and his dog on a space shuttle (sounds crazy I'm sure. Lol.). But, I've been told that dreaming in cartoons is a sign of extremely deep sleep.

I have before, at least, in computer graphics ala Doom-style graphics (you know, the whole, 8-sided views of objects that are supposed to be 3D, etc). I've also had dreams that were textured and coloured as the famous "Scream" painting.
However, I can't answer the second half of your question, my degree in psychology didn't contain any dream analysis techniques, the program I was in considered such techniques to be Neo-Fraudian (er, sorry, Neo-Freudian) and did not teach them.

Yes, me! I have dreamed in cartoon, 3D graphics, and real life. But always in color though. I have NEVER dreamed in black and white. What does this have to do with religion and spirituality though?

Well, I had a dream last night that I was in school and one of the teachers was a muppet. He thought that his bulletin board was a cactus. Pretty weird, huh?
