political correctness has got way out of control/proportion.

they are saying you cannot say merry Christmas because it offends non-Christians.
IT IS IN THE NAME CHRIStmas - how can celebrating our festival be insulting to other cultures?

i will celebrate Christmas all my life and if they don't like it - tough, England's government needs to look at itself from the publics perspective

I fail to see what green and red has to do with Christianity. I thought it had more to do with the holiday by itself. I think the green and red comes from Holly that is part of the pagan holiday celebration even before Christmas became the day Christ was born. If that is the case the schools are taking thing much too far. I think hte whole thing is ridiculous. We are a free country we should be celebrating our diversity! The whole thing is crazy. Many blessings to you! PS I like your play on words.

Some people are taking this stuff too far. I am not Christian but have no problem celebrating Christmas. I don't celebrate the nativity but I do celebrate the spirit of giving... and yes, probably the commercialism. What can I say... Christmas is fun!

No, it's political correctness taken entirely too far.

Though it occurs to me -- do you have any reputable news site links that reference this? This seems like something a minister made up just to get his congregation fired up and feeling like a victim even though it never happend -- but I'll entertain the idea long enough to ask for proof.

Everybody and their brother second guesses teachers and administrators so they make very conservative choices (like banning anything even vaguely controversial). The only group with more back seat drivers is police work.

Christophobia? Please. I'm drinking coffee here. Put away the crown of thorns and move along.

If anything, its called utter stupidity. However had such a stupid policy needs their head examined.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very liberal, very much NOT a christian, and very much in favor of separation of church and state.

However, I don't like control freaks however they lean.

Educational institutions are being taken over by God-less, love-less, cowardly scumbags. And Atheists, too.
