Maybe so. I saw Dog do that on a recent show. A bounty hunter going into your house is different than the government going into your house.

Illegal searches and seizures only apply to government entities. If you are on bond with a bondsman, you will go through and sign a contract. I am pretty sure most bondsman has a clause allowing them to enter your house at anytime, with or without a reason, to search, inspect, and ensure his money is safe. Bondsmen have a great deal of money on the line to ensure you make it to court. If you don't, they lose. If you don't like the rules, then they will be happy not to pick up your bond allowing you to stay in jail.
That is why the higher the bond, the more rules you will be under. If you're out on $5000 bond, there isn't as much at stake as someone who is out on $75000 bond. That is the reason for setting bonds at certain levels. If someone has a bond of $150000, a bondsman will have a great deal on the line. Yes, they will make $15000, but if you run, they stand to lose $135000.

I can tell you that in my state, Florida, bail bondsman can pretty much do what ever they want. If they are acting on good faith to capture an absconder, they can kick in doors, tear apart your house and arrest the person with no search warrant required.
The police will go along, but only to maintain safety. The police can't enter with out a warrant.

The law covering bail bondsman is not the same as police. They can go anywhere anytime and are not held accountable only to the bondsman.
Bounty hunters don't have to play pretty.

A Bail Bondman or Bail Enforcement Agent can search the homes of the family and friends and place of work of the bail jumper ,but they have do it according to what the laws allow. They do not need search warrants to search certain premises.

If the bailbondsman knows for a fact that the suspect is in the residence, yes, he can kick the door in, arrest you and search the house without a search warrant.
