She broke up with me early last year as things weren't working out in her mind, despite us really liking each other & getting v close fast, as she'd just come out of a relationship & wasn't ready to move on (her Ex later proposed to her after we broke up). I was ready for something serious & told her I loved her - looking back, maybe I put too much pressure on her.

Months later we met again in summer and it seemed she still really liked me & perhaps regretted splitting although she didn't say - we ended up kissing briefly & hugging for a bit, and met again a few days later, but never talked about how things were going. I was afraid of getting hurt again, so never followed up with her & ignored some of her calls.

So... half a year on I sent her a Merry Xmas SMS and told her I still think of her & like her a lot. She replied "well, we've not seen each other much lately... :o)" then later "still like you, perhaps we could meet up".

Anyone any advice/ similar experience to help?

We weren't together that long (4 months), but we really liked each other, got on so well and I was a really great guy to her. She seemed unsure overall what she wanted with her life back then too.

Let time tell. If it was meant to be, it will be. Ride it out and try being hard to get, she will come crawling back to you if you want her to.

Just don't get hurt like I did yesterday...some people play with your heart and it sucks! Be carefull but if you want to get together just do it and take the chance. Hope things work out for you Dude
