Yes I do.... sometimes when I feel depressed and when I feel like things are just not goin my way....There are times when I do feel like I should be laughing instead of feeling down, instead of crying but I really don't feel like putting up on this smiling mask while inside I am an emotional wreck....

And yes I do agree that sometimes doc doesnt help.... Cos they dun understand what u r goin thru, the feelings that you are having... I am not a doc, I am just speaking from experience.... And I feel that sometimes one has to take control.. You have to think what makes you happy, it can be just a simple thought or action such as reading a book or just walking along the beach, listening to the waves and the winds blowing on your hair.... and try to do the things that you love...

And hearing sad song will only aggravate or worsen your already down in the dumps feeling... It push you even deeper into the hole.... I knw cos I had been thru that and I believe others too... So I will tell myself to to switch to reggathon or rnb which i love so much.. I will dance to the tunes like nobody business and at the end of the dancing session, i have never felt better... Maybe you cld give it a try....

Its ok to cry once in a while, to release the pent up emotions within you but if you are constantly crying, you do have a problem there.... Remember, in life there are always the up and down, whatever happens happens for a reason. Learn to take control of yr life and just remember only one simple thing that you used to enjoy to do and love to do.... Do it and pls pls pls dun listen to sad songs cos it will only trigger your tears.....Learn to take a look at life in a more optimistic way, always believe that there are others who are more worse off than you.... I can only offer you the rope to get you out of the hole that you have fallen into but at the end of the day, you yourself will have to choose whether if you want to take the rope and get out of the hole or stay in the hole.... So take control of yr life... Only U can do that!!!

You need to figure what triggers you to cry so much. Once you find this out you will know what the best way to deal with your unwanted tears. The fact that you have a song in your head when you wake up, is.....well I find it good because music helps me when I am sad. Sad or depressing music helps me the most. So depending on the exact song, is the individual meaning and the way to treat your tears. And depending why you cry, also depends on how to treat it.

Also to become happy once again I would suggest composing poetry consisting of your feelings at that certain time. I know poetry helped me so try and write some of your own. It really does help.

This might be worth a try. Heck, it won't hurt anyway.....

I just read a book called "Potatoes, not Prozac". Try eating a baked potato (with the skin on it) before you go to bed. There's something in the potato that raises the serotonin in your brain, which lifts your mood. I'd at least give it a few tries. You might wake up feeling pretty good. Let us know if it really works!

do you have some stressful events going on in your life? if so, then they can greatly effect you and how you feel, and your waking up crying. your body can only take so much stress until it cracks and you release your feelings. as you can see, most do not know how to react to this, but i am caring, and say this. exercise more, walk every day, enjoy the simple things, cut back on caffine, "coffee, tea" and take a bubble bath before going to bed. breathe deeply and try to relax your mind, body and soul. Life is hard, but you can deal with it. if you want to take some natural vitamins to feel better, try "5htp" or "flaxseed oil" or take vit. D if you are sad.

i hope that helped

Do you eat breakfast? And if you do, what do you eat? Sounds like massive low blood sugar. You need to eat something the moment you wake up.

oh honey, i feel for u. i used to hav this experience too. u say u hav a doc, but u dont say what his/her advice is? it sounds to me like u hav classic signs of depression, and certainly anti-depressants COULD help, but even they are only really a short term answer. do u spend too much time indoors, dwelling on your feelings? i used to hav to MAKE myself get off my ****, force myself to go out for a walk or even just clear up my house. if you are not working, or not trying to busy yourself somehow, then you will certainly continue to feel this way. talk to your doc again, maybe a short course of anti-depressants together with some councilling will help u pull yourself out of this. but you hav to want to help yourself :-) good luck x x

what kind of doctor? a general practise doc is usually not the best source of help for this.... find a good psychiatrist... meds could help... exercise... eat right... rule out metabolic problems etc...
sorry for your sadness... hope you find happiness soon.
