I believe that is one of the most touching sets of lyrics that I have ever read or what ever wow!!!
It is sad though because you would seem to think that he was talking about just a ordinary woman,,,,and that they were in love,,,but if you really read into the lyrics,,,,I don't believe he is talking about just a woman,,,I honestly believe that it is his own personal struggle with the lord and the devil,,,,because in the end if you read the very last chorus,,,,,,,I WILL BARE MY SOUL IN TIME WHEN I'M KNEELING AT YOUR FEET,,,,,AND THEN,,,,,,

I hate this song. With a burning passion.
Ever since a friend of mine told me something about it.
I hope James Blunt falls into a well and starves to death for writing this song.
