Your attitude might be one of the issues... If you like to play computer games, watch animations, hang out with friends, communicate a lot, etc., these are the reasons that make school so boring. I believe every child finds school boring at some time, you need to find what really draws your attention academically and focus on that, think about a career that would involve this interest and think that school is a game and you must reach the goal by winning all the levels in the game, trust me it will be worth it in the long run.

School is what you make of it. If you make it boring, it will be. But think about having that diploma when it is done and being able to get something above a burger flipper.

At this stage of your life, school is pure memorization. Mermerize the times tables, memorize vocabulary, memorize atom names, memorize what a verb, noun and adjective. You know what I mean. BUT if you hold out and memorize all these things, school will get easier. If you memorize grammer, you can learn to write stories and maybe join a journal club. If you memorize science, you can then be ready to do experiments (better than the old boring elementary ones) in high school and figure things out. If you memorize your times table you can then be able to solve harder math problems, that are like puzzles

It isn't boring at all, actually. I loved school and I continued and graduated from college, with honors with a Bachelor of the Arts degree in English. My 10 year old daughter complains school is boring too. Her teacher just recently informed me that he feels she is "gifted." She has no challenge in being gifted resulting in her bordem. Perhaps you are gifted too? See you Guidance Councilor.

Maybe try some classes that you enjoy. Or, just focus on the friends you will see there. Ask them to have you tested perhaps so you can get in a more advanced class. I have done this in the past and with my son and it helps! (We both get bored easily!!) God bless!

Child is not being challenged?...... this usually happens when a child learns quicker than other children and gets bored...teacher and system needs more creative teaching instruments....learning should be fun as well
