Diet Coke has aspartame and it's totally possible to become addicted to it. Headache is the #1 symptom. Many people experience severe withdrawal effects. They even recommended ways to detox from it! Look up "aspartame addiction", you're not the only one with a Diet Coke addiction that has nothing to do with caffine.

(I was up to 3 liters of regular Pepsi a day at one time. I did get hooked on Diet Coke for awhile too)

dEFINITELY. I have been addicted to Diet Coke for years. Whenever I try to go without it I get a horrendous headache. It is miserable. I am currently trying to quit drinking it again. I am trying to drink lots of water instead. So far am doing pretty well.

Yes, it's probably the caffeine that you are addicted to in that.

It's got caffeine in it, babe, so addiction is pretty much a certainty if you drink it enough.
