The water tastes a lot better, it takes the chlorine out, that was why I bought mine, now I don't get a burning sensation from the chlorine.

By the way I got mine from wicks, it was cheap, it has a lifetime guarantee, which is honoured as i had a problem with the tap leaking, they sent me a much better one very fast.

Am I pleased with it? YOU BET.

The city puts chlorine in our drinking water to help make it safe. Because the drinking water comes from a river or ocean where the water is unsafe to drink. The filter should filter out all unsafe particles and the chlorine so the water will be safe to drink.

NO THE MINERAL WATER ISN'T ANY SAFER TO DRINK.
Because you don't know where it came from. If it was safer to drink then why do they put the minerals in the water?

There are some times "bad minerals" or major impurities in the water system. And a filter will help filter those out. You may want to check with your local water company , they will have the info on just what is in your local water system so you can decide for yourself if thats what you need.

a water filter consists of coarse sand, fine sand, zeolite n super 'k'.these 4 medias r able to reduce sediment, chlorine, certain heavy metal n other elements which can be harmful to our health,it'll make the water quality cleaner n much better 4 general use.so it's necessary to have a water filter in the house.drinking mineral water is much healthier than filtered water cos of minerals added.

best wishes n happy new year.

Thankfully I live in Scotland. Our tap water is as good as any bottled/filtered water. I was visiting family in London and forgot where I was. Took a mouthful of water from the tap and almost threw up.

Tap water in many areas just doesn't taste nice, here it is so chlorinated as it is mainly desalinated water that it just tastes awful. However mineral water only costs about 30p for a 5l bottle, even the fizzy sort only cost about 15p for 1.5l
