I have a couple of different thoughts.
1. If your son seems to really like the girl, I would take a soft approach. Maybe try to meet with her and find out why she's interested in someone so much younger. Maybe she actually does like him and it's not some weird thing.
2. While it might be tempting to tell her to take a hike or go through legal channels, I think you could do more harm than good to your son by trying to force them apart. Unless you have some reason to believe she's actually harming him, just let it run its course. If your son actually has a chance to discover it's wrong on his own he'll be better prepared for future relationships.
3. If you do decide to force them apart, be prepared for your son to hate you. Also be prepared for the possibility/likelihood he would see her behind your back.

The problem here is the maturity and stage of life difference. She's 22, she's out of high school and probably out of college by now. Your son is only what, a sophomore. She's going to be looking to have kids and a family and a career while your son is still working about break outs and making varsity. It's not going to work out so if you're uncomfortable then let it work itself out. If you are not comfortable with it then say something to her. Let her know that she's a nice girl and if she really cares she'll be back in his life when he's out of high school. He may be mad but he'll get over it and it's the best thing for him. To be pinned down that young can be a very bad thing. Good luck!

It sounds as though your son maybe a little too mature and she maybe a lot immature. Either way why in the world are you allowing this to happen? In the state in which I live she'd be locked up for such a criminal act. However as much as you want to seem as though you have concern you honestly don't because you don't need to ask the general public their opinion on what you should do because a good parent already knows what to do in this situation. Ask yourself what is wrong with you for allowing this to go on? You and her both need to be locked up. Anyone out there that knows this lady please call child protective services on her. Where is your son's father?

I agree...@ that age they always think that they are older and mature enough, but the 22 should know better---mentally they can't be on the same wave length

Why don't you say "I think my son should find somebody younger"?
If they love each other, then it's perfect as it is. Age doesn't really matter. Learn to accept it. In 30 or 40 years time (if they last that long), their age difference wouldn't really matter. My dad is younger than my mom.

well good for him, bad for her, she sounds imature, but your Son is a kewl dude, but still young, and maybe not quite ready for a lass of 22, she is bordering on the worrying side, I had a mate who was 15 and his care worker was 28, she had a fling with him and got sacked, I think he should cool it, and she should grow up. keepan eye on them both Buffy

IN most states that would be considered statutory rape, tell her she needs to find someone her own age or you will call the police and have her listed as a sex offender.

Your son is a minor and this woman can be prosecuted for bothering him. Firmly tell her that you intend to bring charges against her if she doesn't leave your son alone. If she persists, file a complaint against her.

That girl either really likes him or she is playing him. It's against the law and i would keep an eye on the relationship.
