Milk is a food for infants. From toddlers all the way to adults, milk alone is insufficient. Of course, milk is still important as it provides calcium, phosphorus and other minerals. However, it does not provide all the nutrients that we need and thus we have to obtain our nutrients from other food sources.

I would say it is a drink, because it is a liquid. But some people call it a food. I have a friend that lives in India and she calls it "food".

It depends on how you are classifying food.
Do you eat it... No, so in that case it is a drink.
But does it supply the body with nutrients. Yes, so in that case it is a dairy type food product.
Best of Luck.

Well, it goes in as a liquid, but it is really a solid, so I guess it sort of does make it a food.
