Dear whoever,

Thank you so much for the extra Christmas cash. It was so thoughtful of you to remember me. I am going to use it to treat myself at some of the post-holiday sales! Thank you again, and I look forward to babysitting for your little ones in 2007!

OK...kind of cheesy, but bottom line she will appreciate the fact that you are showing your appreciation.

Simply give or make a Thank you card Saying something like
Dear Mrs.? I just wanted Thank you for the Christmas bonus. I really enjoy your children and really appreciated the gift. Merry Christmas.

Your Babysitter,
?

Dear,
Thank you very much for the generous Christmas gift. I am going to [tell how you are going to use it, especially if it is something special for yourself or someone else].
Thanks again,
Lauren

That's what I would put in it.

Just write, "Thank you very much for the unexpected Christmas gift. It was very generous of you, and I greatly appreciate it."

Write it in a nice card. A letter is not necessary for a "thank you."

Express to her how tremwndously kind her monetary gift was. let her know that you really enjoy working for her and with her children.

I happen to believe that Thank You notes should be brief and too the point!

she must thank you anyway!!!she gave you 50 bucks coz you worked and babysat her babies..
but being polite is also nice, tell her "I'm tremendoulsy happy to work for you,you are being so nice with me,I like the way you treat me,it's so kind from you..Thank you..I know that the word "thanks" doesnt express my huge feelings of gratitude..but this is what i can say...Thanks a lot..."

Tell her how much it was a surprise for you to get that, maybe next time you babysit you can do something unexpected for her (dishes, sweaping, etc.)
