If so, what are the symptoms? My cat has hair loss, but is not scratching neither does he have any sores.

Hi there...cat mange can be one possible cause, however ringworm or other parasites, allergies and/or feline disorders such as Cushing’s disease, Addison’s disease, Hyperthyroidismm and Hypothyroidism can all may also be a culprit to the hair loss.

Yes, cats can get mange, as can you. And it is serious. I believe that if you squeeze the skin that is missing hair gently, some fluid will come out if it is mange.

If your cat is acquiring bald patches, I think you'd be best taking him to the vet.
