Each time I have an incoming call on my original phone line my phone, broadband and internet lights go out on my home hub. I cant answer the phone as it wants to screen the call. I have checked everything cable wise and even put in a new dsl filter. I have also tried the home phone at another point and it still happens.I can recieve calls fine on the hub phone.
BT online help couldnt help and the broadband help number has me in the longest queue in the world!
I can ring out ok with the hub phone and the home phone.
Any suggestions?

I had almost exactly the same problem with my BT Home Hub. Mine would cut the broadband connection on both incoming and outgoing calls, though. When it reconnected, the static on the line made phone conversations impossible.

Turned out the Home hub was faulty. And the next one. After the third faulty one, I went back to my old ADSL modem - problem solved...

Its probably the power spike filter on the hub ( its inside the box on the circuit board - nothing you can do about it other than get an exchange )

When someone rings, the line spikes to make an analogue phone ring, its probably this thats spiking the hub.

A highpass filter ( opposite to a DSL filter ) may work but its likely the spike will get through ( and its a bodge anyway to try to overcome a faulty hub )

How long did you have the hot telephone huge type with out drama? How long had the huge type been out of order till now it grew to become into assigned to you (you have gotten asked the telephone rep that assigned it to you). in line with risk it quite is why the previous person ditched the huge type too. it would desire to be demands the previous telephone huge type holder. different than that....it is not a bill collector, telemarker, kinfolk, or friends. So, after giving your husband the income of doubt and pondering the 1st factor I published, i'd bounce to a mistress as 2d. Sorry....
