My baby is due on June 24th this year. Apart from my maternity pay what other benefits will I be entitled to before & after my bay is born? I live with my partner but he is in a low income job, earning about £12,000 - £13,000 a year. Also, what benefits will I be entitled to when my maternity pay runs out?

You will be entitled to Child Benefit which at the moment is around £17.00 a week for first baby, also Working Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit. If you ask your Health Visitor, he/she will give you all the relevant paperwork in which shows you how to go about applying for them. Also you should be entitled to Free Milk vouchers along with Free nappies from your doctor. Hope this information helps you. Good luck and take care xx

I would talk to the midwife when you go to ante natal clinic. She will give you a form for you to take to work to confirm you are pregnant.

Contact theBenefit Office in your area because they are very helpful and know what they are talking about.

Hope this helps.
