Tourismus in Saudi Arabia means national/domestic tourismus.
Saudi Arabia doesn't issue vist visas, unless you have a Saudi National, familymember or friend being a Saudi citizen as a sponsor.
If you are a Muslim and want to go there for Hajj or Umrah you can get a visa through travel agencies recognized by the Saudi Goverment.

They are starting tourism (limited though) in Saudi.. Its mostly organized tour groups.. A lot are diving tours in the Red Sea.. Some school teachers came last year and toured around some historical sites... But its very limited..

there are beautiful places there and there is connect between ancient life and modern life.
there you can see the sacred house at mecca, built by Abraham for the warship of the One God which is very important place for muslims. you can also see the house of the prophet Mohhamed(Allah's blessings and peace be on him), you can see a cave in Mt. Hira which the prophet received his first divine communication through the Angel Gabriel and alot of special places.....
