According to JAR FCL you can hold your ICAO CPL with 200 flight hours. But nobody will ever hire you as a pilot with 200 or 300 flight hours. So what's the CPL for? Every company requires flight experience but nobody gives you flight experience. Now what?

If you are lucky, you can fly asnd work your way up as SIC(second in command) for a small independent charter company. otherwise, you can build up time as a Banner-Tow pilot. It is where you tow a message or picture bilboard behind your aircraft. You can build up a lot of time doing this, sometimes up to eight hours a day. In no time you will have enough hours to apply to air charter operators and then the airlines(about 1500 hrs)

I agree with both the above answers. CFI is a good way to build time if nothing else works out. Another advantage is make friends with every pilot you meet...especially those flying charter..later ask them if you can sit and as observe from behind..log these hours in the back of your log book.Be it Multi or Jet or Turbo Prop.

Get your CFI & CFII. Not a great income but a great way to build time.
