It seems that this god creature is so vain and vindictive that if you do not stroke it's ego by worshiping it in a highly proscribed manner, it tortures you for eternity in everlasting fire. Now that sounds like a highly disturbed creature that is hardly worthy of worship or respect.

God is beyond religion! Some segregated followers are still to narrow minded to see that the God of everything that they worship is the same God of everything that other religions worship. Differences stem from language and culture. Humans need to surrender all judgments. The greatest spiritual Masters that ever lived all taught the same things, just in different ways. Lord Buddha's teachings are surprisingly similar to Lord Jesus' teachings. They both taught teachings of spiritual truth, they were not the founders of physical world religions. They were teaching about the Kingdom of Heaven, and Lotus Land, which represent the same thing. We are spiritual beings, not physical.

By the religious texts, it would appear so. However, I would think that an omnipotent being would have endless patience and love, especially if that being were ultimately responsible for all of creation.
