Taking first flight.......packing issues?

Here's the deal, we are flying out on friday and I have some probibly stupid questions. First, if I check our luggage can we take larger "poo and conditioner bottles than the 3oz . Second, if I can do they have to be in clear bottles and in a qt ziplock? We are not taking any carry on...we have 2 bags and are checking both. What can I pack???!!!

Do they have to be in clear plastic bottles in zip lock baggie? Also do they have to be removed to go through check?

As far as your checked luggage you can bring larger liquids and gels then the 3 oz. rule, that only applies to your carry on luggage. If you were to bring those items in your carry on, they would have to be 3 oz. or less and packed in a clear ziploc 1qt. bag. If you want more information on just what you can have packed in both checked and carry on luggage, I would suggest that you visit the TSA website http://www.tsa.gov/ they have the complete list of what you can and can not bring on the flight with you.

You can take shampoo, conditioner, etc. in your checked luggage. They don't have to be in clear anything - you can pack them as is.

And although this is pretty obvious, make sure you put any liquids in a couple plastic bags to prevent them from possibly leaking into your clothes.

Just make sure your checked bags don't weigh over 50 pounds each, as you will be charged for the extra weight.

You can pack larger bottles of shampoo etc., in your luggage that is being checked. The restrictions were only for carry on luggage.

You can take any size "poo and condition bottles only in hand luggage you can not take any larger.
