According to Genesis:
(3:7) And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
(3:10) And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
(3:11) And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
I've chosen to interpret the shame of nudity being that of Adam and Eve, imposed on them by the serpant. God made them to naked and intended for them to remain that way and God almost seems surprised that Adam knows he is naked. That tells me that God intends for us to be naked.
To the arguement that nudity is wrong as it would cause others to sin, I respectfully disagree. God gave us the free will to make our own decisions. If we choose to associate nudity with improper acts, that is out own, personal decision. It is no different than arguing that a store owner is guilty of leading a theif to steal because he put a valuable product on his store's shelf. The decision to steal and the sin attached to that action is the theif's alone and in no way connected to the store owner. Likewise, if the sight of my nude body (in an appropriate situation) leads someone else to "sin," that is a reflection of that person's decissions and not mine.
So I see no reason why my choice to be a nudist conflicts with my religion in any way.

Not in the least; I know several nudists/naturists that are very spiritual and very decent human beings.
There are nudists groups that have been started by ministers.
There are Yahoo groups consisting of nudist Christians.
Participating in nude social recreation is a matter of "body acceptance," meaning that you accept yourself and others as they are - no matter what age, shape, size - as beautiful human beings, and you don't have any repressed sense of shame about your body.
Spirituality is totally separate from nudism; there is really no way that one prohibits the other.

God loves men and women very much. That's true, but men and women are constantly changing their perspectives and interpretations about life's mysteries including their understanding about God and His message to His creation. Islam, Christianity and Judaism all believe that God is merciful, omnipotent, all knowing, good and the creator of all life, but each have different ideologies concerning the doctrine, faith and the practice of it. Did God do this? Or was it men who did this? Seeing how God hasn't changed at all since the beginning, it's obviously mans doing, but in great error you presume that it's God's fault? and because of this, you question whether or not God loves humans? and because of this you presume in error that God introduced these conflicting religions? People aren't buying what you are selling, I hope you don't either, deep down anyway. As far as Supermanism,(Ubermensh) goes, it's a concept in the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche from his 1883 book Thus Spoke Zarathustra. That is called philosophy not religion. Btw, Nietzsche lost his mind and died within 7 years of writing that garbage. Peace

There are Christian Naturists:

My dilemma is that I would be too embarrassed in case the bits didn't behave. My incident at the hospital with the gown that day when she made me sit on the chair and stood in front of me so as to place her private bits within an inch of my face has scarred me for life. She was checking my back but I was ...well anyway, it won't be happening anytime soon with me. Now if you want a coffee shop overlooking the place where dressed people perv I might be swayed to participate.

Not at all. There is nothing sinful about simple nudity. Lewdness and lustfulness are sinful, but ordinary nudity is natural, wholesome and fun!
I'm Catholic and consider myself a religious person on many levels, and I have no problem being naked in appropriate situations, such as at the nude beach, in a hot tub or friend's pool, etc.
We need to fear the violent person much more than the naked one!

I am not a "Nudist/Naturalist". I know that a True Christian could not dress in this manner because it would cause others to sin which would be sinful. Our FATHER would not want us doing so and HE does not approve of such acts that are of satan. I hope that this makes sense. Have a great day!

NO !!!... If you are a Nudist be a Nudist and enjoy your feelings...as they say always is time to work, is time to pay your bills, is time to play ...and always be time to pray. To protect your self exercise your right to act as a Nudist...only in places where the law allows you to do so.

I'm reminded of the Gulliver's Travels movie. Lemuel explains to the Hywynnm that humans must wear clothes or else they would be unable to control themselves sexually. The Hywynnm becomes disturbed and accuses him of being, appropriately enough, a Yahoo (a savage).
The Bible was written by men, for men. "God" commanded his priests to wear underwear because he didn't want to see their genitals under their robes. A real god who created us would find our genitals as disturbing and disgusting as I find my cat's or my dog's - which is to say, not at all.
And to those who believe that a man can't control himself around a naked woman, well, their religion must not allow for free choice or free will!

No, Being, awareness of one unconditional source is enhanced by nudity. A mindful oneness within nature is naturism, augmented by nudity. Other religions conflict with my nature, my pursuit of divine awareness, my religion or spirituality, because they condemn me, this body, this natural being. Shame conflicts, lack of humility conflicts, lack of respect for life conflicts and all of these are what is to be gained with the practice of nudity. All of these are against the law as it stands and common social mores, which are thoughtless and inconsiderate. Anti-nudity laws conflict with my religion.
