No, but unfortunately for all of us, Eve did, and Satan used that serpent in order to decieve her. He spoke through it just as a ventriloquist speaks through a doll ar a puppet. Eve was not afraid, for all animals were at peace with them and were not dangerous. God spoke to Adam & Eve and they listened, although they could not physically see him, so Eve had no reason to question the serpent "speaking" to her. The serpent was talking to her about God, so she was interested in what it had to say. The sad part is that Satan convinced Eve that she and Adam did not need God and that God had lied to them from the beginning. This was actually the first lie ever told. Satan is a liar and the father of the lie. JOHN 8:44
Satan has been given a death sentence and soon it will be carried out.

If you are talking about the serpent in the Garden, Friend, he was an upright creature with a vocal cord, & the highest form of the animal kingdom, BEFORE THE CURSE, Then IN THE CURSE God stripped him of his arms & legs. Gen. 3:14-15 & not before that curse. By the way, when God put him into the reptile family AFTER the curse, he no longer had a vocal cord.

One night I was walking home from the pub when a snake started talking to me. 'Go away'I said but it wouldn't. It said 'Sit down and have a rest'. I was going up a hill at the time and his argument was tempting but I knew if I sat down with it I would not get up until morning. So I told it to go away again and it went. I have never seen it since that night but I know it is there in the dark waiting for me to walk past again

No. But Eve did. Interestingly it didn't seem strange to her. That tells me that before the Curse, Man was able to communicate with Creation.
