If you watch TV you are brain washed. It's an insult but at the same time true. We are all influenced by what we see and hear. Some do it with intensity on a narrow subset of dogma and end up unbalanced but we all suffer from it in various degrees. In my opinion though very few are truly brainwashed to the extent that it is not really their will being expressed by their adopted belief.

Many people are brainwashed by the media, you see them in YA all the time, likewise most religious people are brainwashed because they will not listen to logical arguments and favour the supernatural explanations. I have never heard of anyone being brainwashed by loud rock (that might just be brain damage LOL)

the actuall term of brain washing applies to "erasing memory" the things you describe are Mind control, indoctrination and Programming.
of course we Think for ourselves! but things like devices of hypnotic suggestions and post hypnotic suggestion Lead the mind astray, under this kind of influence a person could be alseep when it happens and when they are awake. ALL OF SUDDDENT they get the inspiration of the "spirit of god" and an idea pops up in their mind. It could totally contrary to the will of God and completely MORTAL in its origin.
I have often said that people are brainwashed under every category you described. indeed I agree many people are influenced by various Mind control devices and simple advertising PRogramming. but some people are hijacked without choice too, like the real life situation of a "manchurian candidate".
people can be fed False information that contradicts their own real beliefs and twist the desired results inside the mental process. The matrix happens all around us, I know i woke up several times from mesmerizing matrix like dreams to see REAL life going on around me.
So know this! i speak from experience. I know what i say is true in part.

Brainwashing is repeating something that isn't true over and over until the person thinks it is. It isn't using what you know, and it isn't thinking for yourself. It is quite the opposite.

No, it is a fact of being in a society led by psychology-wizards. I take part in all this madness because I work with entertainment and media, so I certainly get alot of experience in the technique of altering or tampering with someone's motives.

Yes, but that doesn't mean it isn't true.
As for "We're all brainwashed", that's an unproven assertion on your part. We are all indoctrinated in our formative years, but not everyone accepts that indoctrination for a lifetime.
