yet Christians believe Jesus is God but Jesus was tempted by Satan.
Jesus said "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only'."
Jesus was apparently tempted by Satan with the offer of the kingdom etc. why would this be a temptation as if he was God then the kingdom is his already? It’s like someone offering you your own house!
Don’t really like to question others beliefs as no one can win an argument especially when it comes to religion and most of us believe in the religion we are born to but since Christians believe that Jesus was God adamantly it would be interesting to ask this question at least once.

I forgot to add about the above quote if Jesus was God why would Satan ask Jesus(God) to worship Satan?

Also in the above quote Jesus says it's written to worship God only which he himself did. If Jesus was God why would a God worship God whether he is part of three or not when it is said there is only one God?
Why is there no godly title for jesus's mother Mary and her husband and his brothers and sisters if he was God?

No, Satan can't tempt God because Satan doesn't exist. He is a man made concept derived to frighten and empower by those who wish to control. Most of what you quite, I believe (forgive me if I am wrong) comes from the Bible - again a man made concept for the same reasons so the quotes can't actually be attributed to God and Jesus - where is the proof that this is what actually happened? I would add that, yes, I do believe in God and Jesus although I am not a Christian I am a Spiritualist, but not the hypocrisy that appears in the Bible. God did not write the Bible, many men did for control.

He was offering him the kingdom physically. Satan did not know God's plan at the time but Satan is called the great accuser. He was trying to get Jesus to stray from the path of righteousness and get him to sin against God the Father. God's word stands firm in the heavens. If Jesus would have sinned he would not have been a perfect lamb offering on the cross he was sinless and took our sin and paid the price for the sin of the world so that YOU could have forgiveness of your sins by repenting and putting you faith in Jesus as someone jumping out of a plane puts their faith in a parachute.

Jesus was tempted by Satan. Jesus was like us in all ways but sin. We are tempted, he was tempted, but he did not sin. As God incarnate, Satan was able to tempt him. God gives the world freewill to accept or deny him. Satan has freewil, he obviously denied him. I believe Satan meant that he would leave the kingdoms of the world alone if Jesus would fall down and worship him.

[005:072] Surely, they have disbelieved who say: "God is the Messiah ['Îsâ (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary)." But the Messiah ['Îsâ (Jesus)] said: "O Children of Israel! Worship God, my Lord and your Lord." Verily, whosoever sets up partners (in worship) with God, then God has forbidden Paradise to him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong doers) there are no helpers.
[005:073] Surely, disbelievers are those who said: "God is the third of the three (in a Trinity)." But there is no god (none who has the right to be worshipped) but God alone). And if they cease not from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall on the disbelievers among them.
[005:074] Will they not turn with repentance to God and ask His forgiveness? For God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
[005:075] The Messiah ['Îsâ (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary), was no more than a Messenger; many were the Messengers that passed away before him. His mother [Maryam (Mary)] was a Siddîqah [i.e. she believed in the Words of God and His Books (see Verse 66:12)]. They both used to eat food (as any other human being, while God does not eat). Look how We make the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) clear to them; yet look how they are deluded away (from the truth).

You assume wrong as I am a Christian and Satan did tempt God (Jesus) as you said. But Jesus was also human and it was that part of Him that Satan tempted. Jesus came to earth to die for our sins and give us direct contact with God, Satan tried to stop this and failed for at the moment Jesus died on the cross He conquered death by rising again and thus becoming our salvation for eternal life if we choose to accept and follow Him.

God is not tempted by no one or none thing, Jesus was tempted, by satan, But that Spitit of God in Jesus was not tempted, Jesus was Not God, But the Son of God. Too many christians try to make Jesus, God, God is a spirit & not flesh & blood, God did not die, Jesus did, Can you imagine if God died, how satan will never let him come back alive. so Jesus Christ The only Begotten Son Of God is what died & not God.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

according to gnostic beliefs satan is jeovah the demiurgos who was created by a flawed enamanation from the aeon sophia.as a result of this flawed creation satan-jehovah created the imperfect universe and all that is in it.the epitome of the creation was humanity which was inherently doomed to death and decay.the higher god who remains hidden to humanity felt pity on sophia and allowed her to breathe the breath of spirit into humanity.unfortunately not all people realise their inherent spirituality and are of the created world, hence our history of war and death.sophias consort the christ manifested himself in the person of jesus and satan the god of this world then attempted to tempt him.the god jesus is refering to is this higher god in the gnostic trinity of,father, mother and son whom christ personified.also within each man and woman is this divine spark.satans plan is to continue with this world and the culture of sex with childbirth was foisted on the world, this feeds the infernal machine of birth and death.think about this, if the world stopped feeding the machine how many wars would end and what value would the materialist place on wealth if people stopped producing and earning for those in control of the world.these beliefs scared the living daylights out of the catholic church and heresy was invented to destroy this.so yes satan can tempt god because if jesus plan to create a world of love amongst humanity had worked what need would there be for religion, politics and hate which stem primarily from those concepts of belief which places control over choice.

When satan was initially created before he sinned he was sent to earth to glorify it and beautify it as ruler of the earth. However he sinned, began proud, arogant, deceitful and fought against god, and actually fought a spiritual war against him, he managed to turn one third of all angels on earth at the time by instilling doubt in them, they are demons now.
When god created adam, he did so with the express intention of replacing satan with Adam as the ruler of the earth, however adam was tempted by satan and also sinned.
God was a merciful god and created adam as a mortal being therefore if he sinned and he did, he could not live forever as an evil sinful being. At this point there was no salvation for humans at all, every human being that died before jesus' death had no salvation, (except chosen few, prophets, moses, abraham so on)
Jesus is often mentioned as the second adam, although he was god already, he still had to qualify as king of the earth and offer salvation to humanity....so when jesus died on the cross, he QUALIFIED as ruler of the earth, which is why the devil was able to tempt him before he died, he was 100% god but 100% man also. Thats why the devil tempted him with the kingdom, ie an easier way out than death. However Jesus knew the only way to give salvation to humanity was to offer himself as a sacrificial lamb, thats why he died on passover. So we are now at the point where jesus qualified for his throne but not taken it, he will do this on his second coming.

Well, if you remember during this period he was still man, and didn't ascend into heaven to take his place beside his father until after this trial and his triumphal return.
You wouldn't have to challenge other peoples religion if you were to read the whole text first then ask. A lot of people love to base their lives, religions, and questions on half an answer.
Like getting a nail and trying to drive it without a hammer. Makes no sense.
