But I get at least one response or question deleted per week. Last week, the question was "Is God real?", My response was "No, I don't think so"....three hours later my response was removed for "PROFANITY"...utterly ridiculous

Atheism is not religion and those of us lucky enough not to live in repressive areas (Muslim Countries) are no longer allowed to be killed by religion. We risk our jobs, can't run for office, and are shunned by a large segment of the population, so we don't have the same freedoms, yet. Once the flaw in the Constitution is corrected, things will get better.

Theists or Atheists are all treated as equals from what I have seen. There are a number of people here that have no respect for any PeOpLe on this site. I have not seen much difference in reading the writings from either side of the FeNcE. I hope that you have a great day and are able to ask and answer questions without feeling disrespected by others. I am sure that GOD LoVeS YoU!

I believe that freedom of religion is a fundamental right. I do not think the government or anyone should be forcing religion or religious views on other people. In fact, I see separation of church and state one of the biggest tools in protecting freedom of religion.

Being an atheist means you don't believe in religion, but yes everyone has the freedom of speech. The one problem is people seem to be getting less tolerate of each other.

Religion in the USA has nothing to do with freedom. One can believe in anything he/she wants and still be in a position to express any point of view. This is just one of the beauties of America. In the middle east and other areas where the Muslim religion is prevalent, religion is closely tied to the politics and laws of the land and there is little freedom for expression. Atheists and other religions are treated badly in Muslim countries. Read the qu'ran, the part about Jihad, and you will understand why this is so.

I feel like I can say whatever I need to say on this forum. I don't expect others to agree with me.

I'm sorry you feel repressed, though.

I feel I put my neck in a noose everytime I speak to someone in public about my lack of beliefs. It is probably just me though.
Real repression is what is being done by my countrymen to the citizens of Iraq.

I think everyone in this country has freedom of speech, but like in "animal farm" some are more free than others
