i desperately want to stop smoking again i cant find the willpower, quite a few years ago i did stop for 4 years then all of a sudden the cravings came back, the worst thing you can do is have that one cig it leads to another and another, i now smoke a lot more now than i ever did (30 + a day) keep going, every day say to your self that's another day i have succeeded ,not everyone is the same i know people who gave up 10 yrs ago and don't get the cravings like i did good luck and be strong.

Not exactly a resolution, its a determination from past couple of months. I can't wake up one fine day and say I quit, but slowly I managed to cut down the number of cigs.
Is not it good to smoke three cigs a day for a ex-chain smoker?
Now it is easier for me to quit.
I tried nicotine strips, that pass nicotine in body through skin, it did not help much.

have you tried using the nicotine patches or gum.
I quit 2 years ago and haven't looked back.
Take each day as it comes.
Try filling up a jar with cigarette butts and every time the cravings get too much then open the lid and have a sniff. The smell will put you off and also satisfies the cravings.

Either you quit or your symptoms of illness will be greater than your withdraws.

I quit Thanksgiving day because they found a spot on my lungs. I don't know how long you have smoked but please don't start again. Hope you make it.
