yea, and threatening me with an eternity in hell is just being really nice. FEAR is the greatest tool of the Christian religion.
To say your religion is "truth" and not "faith" only shows your arrogance.
Apparently you never heard of the crusades in history class. Christians have been forcing their beliefs on others for centuries.
EVOLUTION HAS NOT BEEN DISPROVEN BY ANYONE AND IF YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE SUCH RIDICULOUS STATEMENTS THAT MAKE YOU LOOK COMPLETELTY IGNORANT OF THE PROCESS AT LEAST SITE A SOURCE.

The only time I have ever felt like it was being forced is when people in my neighborhood started leaving all kinds of Christian literature on my doorstep, simply because I am a Pagan. And not so much that it is a physical type of forcing.... but would you want me to leave you Pagan literature on your doorstep every couple of days? Even after you ask me not to? *wink*
You hardly instill fear. And it's only your Religious Opinion that it is the Truth. No one can prove these things.
An example of some of the ways people feel "forced" by some Christians........ My son is in high school... he wears the Pagan Symbol (Pentagram) - even though he is Not a Pagan, he's Agnostic - yet, the school claimed this is a Gang Symbol. After doing some research, I found that the leading symbol Gangs use is the Cross. Now, bringing this up at school, I was then told that it doesn't make a difference which symbol is used more in Gangs.... the Pentagram is viewed, by other people, as an evil thing. Just because someone sees something as "evil" doesn't make it so. I had several Christians get quite upset when the school finally turned their ruling over and allowed the kids at this school to wear Pagan symbols. Personally, I don't care if they get upset. If the tables were turned and it was their children who were not allowed to wear their religious symbols, I would have done the same thing for them.... Instead of fighting for Freedoms for all, even if they disagreed with the Religion itself, they turned hypocritical... spouting about how American they were, while obviously my family isn't since I (not my son or husband) is a Pagan. It came to a point when we almost had to move because of the harrassment.
Would you call that forcing???? I would. But I don't see that all Christians do this... only some of the louder ones. It's the same with any religion. Paganism has it's own loud-mouths who ruin it for others.

I think that if someone decides to be an atheist that is their choice they would feel offended and rightfully so if some Christian came up to them and said your atheism is wrong, you will go to hell because you're an atheist, or you're evil because you're an atheist. Christians may feel they are doing the right thing but they are actually causing more harm than good because that atheist is going to get angry, resentful and bitter at that Christian because he is in a way disrespecting them and mocking them.
I am a Christian and I would never think of forcing my religion on another, I find that disgusting. I have atheist friends and they have often commented that I'm not like other Christian's they find it quite surprising to hear I am a Christian because I have never challenged them on their beliefs unless they challenge mine. Then its a classic case of "you asked for it"

You are kidding right? Perhaps you should crack open a history book and take a look at such things as: The Inquisition, The Witch's Hammer, The Crusades, or for that fact look at US history with the expansion West and the extermination of the Native Americans because they were "Godless heathens".
If you are referring to modern day references just look at how many times a day Christian will say, "Accept Jesus Christ as your savior... or burn forever in hell".
I do not like to judge the validity of others but some Christians make it very hard to respect your faith when it is constantly shoved in our faces.
Blessed Be )O(

these that complain are blowing things out of propotion. Nobody comes round bothering me and I do not wear a sign that says already saved. Do they bother you.
Understand these that rant are in a state of rebellion against God and they have a hard time rebelling against an invisible foe so they must search around hard to find something to B about. Ignore them or be kind cuz they could become valuable assets should they become saved. Just treat them like you do your harmless children and love them and think there there u poor baby. Dady loves you yes He does. goochy goochy goo

You can't force religion. Why would anyone be afraid of going to a hell they don't even believe exists? Its just silly for atheists to get all offended by that idea, and if they don't want to hear religious or spiritual beliefs, go to another section. I mean really, this is the religion/spiritual section, so whats the point of coming here just to bash christians and pretend to be offended by religious beliefs? Its just ignorant.

I'm a christian and I think it's stupid for other Christians to threaten with hell. Whatever someone believes it's their choice.I would have a hard time if I get offended every time an atheist (see the guy above me) calls me stupid or a Muslim tells me I go to hell. That's what God gave me two ears for. Into one and out the other. If someone is offended its his own choice.

Leave folks alone! Turning to God out of fear of going to hell is a bull $h!t reason to believe in anything. If you were really concerned about people you would just lead by example and people will follow because of your discipline. Not because you read some book that tells you a story about a time you know nothing about. I bet you used to believe in the Boogie Man too. Was he real? Santa? How do you know that the Bible wasn't just a lie to control people? You don't! I believe there is something that created all of this. But for the purpose of destruction? A play toy? What ever God intends to do with me is fine. I was created. What say do I have in what happens to me? Just like if I made a clay pot just to destroy it. It's my pot! I can do what ever I want with it. If what the Bible says is true God is all knowing and all powerful. Why in the hell would he put us through this $H!T! Pleasure? Does it please God to see his creation suffer? Then because they didn't believe Bible thumping Christians we have to go to an even worse place than we were in before? F@ck that $h!t! You can keep that evil God of yours. We suffer because of dumb $h!ts that want to press their beliefs on every man woman and child. I'm through with bull $h!t religion.

I think you're taking a much too literal interpretation of the question. Of course, I haven't literally been "forced" to adhere to Christian beliefs; but I have been exposed to Christian beliefs without choice, and in situations where had I had a choice, I would not have been.
I do not want a christian to "preach" to me. If they do, their religion is being "forced" upon me.

When the President of the United States, in his religious ignorance, says the jury is still out on the evolution/intelligent design debate, I consider that as having religion foisted upon every American to their detriment.
When my children go to school and have stickers in their biology books that say evolution is only a theory, I consider that as having religion foisted upon them.
When I hear Christians whining about how they are persecuted and I see churches on every corner that don't pay there share of taxes, yet are extremely active in the electoral process of their community, I consider that as having religion stamped on our representation in government.
When the President of the United States quashes all scientific inquiry into embryonic stem cell research because it goes against his religious views and research dollars are drained away to other countries, I consider that to be having religion foisted upon our long-term economic well-being.
When the National Park Service, by executive directive, is prevented from telling tourists that the Grand Canyon was formed over millions of years and the book shop their has a book on the creationist account of how it was formed in The Flood, I consider that to be having religion foisted upon the scientific literacy of all.
