Protein is your best bet, go with a whey protein right after your work out, it is a good source of protein and your body will metabolize it quickly. As for eating habits, five small meals a day instead of three regular meals, this will give you the calories that you need to put on muscle and it keeps your metabolism up so your body doesn't store as much fat. I would recommend seeing a nutritionist to help set up what kind of foods are better for your dietary needs.
