I can only speak for my religion, which is Protestant Christianity. It teaches that sex is pleasurable and to be enjoyed. In fact, one entire book of the Bible (the Song of Solomon) deals with the pleasure of sexual relationships. There are no restrictions on the pleasure of sex. But there are some restrictions on the misuse of sex.
Face it, number one reason for divorce - and the breaking up of families and all the other heartaches that are included in a divorce - is the misuse of sex. Adultery. It is for that reason, the Judeo/Christian faith ranks adultery as one of the "Top 10" ways to destroy your life. That is not "patronizing", but "protection" when God placed a prohibition on adultery.
But God, who we too often forget, was the inventor of sex, knew how strong a force it would be in people's lives. So He had Paul write some instructions for sex in 1 Corinthians chapter 7. He said that to avoid adultery (and fornication - which is sex before marriage) that couples should marry, and then have sex on a regular basis. That the husband is responsible for meeting the sexual needs of the wife and the wife the sexual needs of the husband. If they are doing that, then they do not have to worry about adultery. That is not "patronizing", but "fulfilling" when God says to satisfy each other.

Society does not impose that rule, non secular human beings do. And that is as lots of a rule as you enable it to be. Assuming the two events are adults, that is not unlawful, and it is not every person else's company. I lived with somebody for 4 years, we broke up, and 22 years later we are nevertheless friends. After the breakup, I lived with somebody else for a three hundred and sixty 5 days, we've been given married, and function had a great marriage for 21+ years. they might in undemanding terms make you experience responsible in case you enable them to.

I used to be religious and these patronising people toldme not to look at non christians, it was all a set of rules, then I was at a church in Pembroke where we were not allowed to have special relationships, there weren't many attractive people there anyway.

In my religion there are only rules on sexual acts, not on the pleasure part. The more pleasure the better!

There is much written in these books of fantasy that is patronizing. Cult members do and feel as they are told without question. They accept no responsibility for the real world around them.

i have always questioned the equality of gender, when it says that women are forgiven in child bearing. And when it is ok for men to have plural wives, but if a woman leaves one husband for another, She Cannot have sex with the First one, or it makes some kind of Genetic Uncleanness.

The only rule that we have is to be faithful FOR LIFE to the spouse of the OPPOSITE sex, and not to have sex while the woman is on her period. How does that hinder pleasure?

no, we try to not lose the morals God instilled in us. This is a constant struggle against Satan and his ways to lead us all astray. To prove to God that humans are less of a creation that he is. So he can be arrogant and say that he was right not to prostrate to Adam like God commanded him too.
