Vets have taken tests, used cameras and kept the dog in overnight for observation but are still none the wiser. My parents own two dogs from the same litter and now thy both seem to have the same problem so it must be contagious. The dog whos symptoms are worse has been like this for approx 6 months now and it is very upsetting. The vetinary bills are also mounting with no end insight. Please help!

Have you tried a second opinion from a different vet? If they still don't know, certainly no-one here will know for certain. You'll get a lot of guesses, of course...

I'd get a second opinion at another vet practice. It could even be some kind of allergy in both dogs but you'd be better off going the vets again!

have they tested for haemophillia?
