Considering Rottie pups go for £500 from a breeder - sell it privately.

If you are with him 24 hours a day, not using a crate is fine, but if you have to leave him, even for 10 minutes, how can you be sure he isn't going to chew electrical wires or eat something that's going to kill him? Crate training is the best way to keep him out of harm's way as well as housetraining him. When you are there, the best way to how train him is by being patient & consistent. Take him (don't just put him) outside everytime he wakes up, after he's eaten and after he's been playing. Praise him to the skies when he performs outside, ignore what he's done when he makes a mistake inside, just put him outside & clean the area thoroughly so there is not a trace of smell left. Don't bother with newspapers or puppy pads - that's teaching him it's OK to go indoors, then you have to retrain him that's its NOT OK. Good Luck with your pup - well-trained Rotties are great dogs.

The most responsible thing to do is either take it back to the Breeder, or better still, take it to an animal rescue center. I would like to think a responsible breeder would not sell a Rottweiler pup to some for a xmas pressie.

Okay, I understand all the comments about how he's horrible for wanting to get rid of the pup already, but at least he's being responsible enough to get rid of it! Alot of owners just chain them up in the backyard, which is no life for a dog.

With that being said, place it in the paper or call a local rescue group for that particular breed. You can search the internet for names and numbers.

Get over yourself already - a pet is a commitment - if you wanted the pup, then step up to the plate and take some responsibility for it - if you didn't then you have some pretty uncaring "friends" that would give a puppy to someone who has such shallow feelings.

When you say (xmas) you take christ out of it,i do not wanna buy your poor puppy i don`t know any-1 who gets tired of a cute little puppy say if you wanted a son and you had him for a while you care for him and love him then you get tired of him would you sell him to? At least give it to a animal shelter where it can be cared for and givin to a owner that does care for it.

You think you are a hard man don`t you? You are not fit to look after a dog, and certainly not a rottweiler. I have had rottweilers all my life, they are intelligent lovable softies, providing;- you treat them with kindness, love and affection. They can sense whether people are `good`or not. Never trust someone that a dog does not like. Frankly, I don`t think you have a puppy! If you do,I very much doubt that you want to be rid of it. If I am wrong, you can e-mail me, I have the puppy, if it came to live with me it would think it had arrived in dog-heaven.

i do not want to buy a pup bec i have a pet chi right now. if you are bored with it.. why dont you just try to like it more. first of all, dogs can sense your feelings... why dont you first try to like it more. just look at it closely... cant you see it's cute? if it's still a pup, it is easier to bond with it and it will be more fun to play with. why dont you walk it around the neighborhood and see what it likes. spend more time with it and treat it as part of your family... im sure you will come to love your pet more =)
